Sexual Abuse Intervention Program
This counseling program is designed for children and youth up to age 19 who have experienced sexual assault and/or abuse. The program also provides services to children up to age 12 with sexually intrusive behaviours. Our goal is to help children, youth, and their families recover from the trauma of sexual abuse.
Children and youth participate in individual counseling sessions, which can include parents/caregivers. Treatment modalities used by the SAIP therapist are individualized to meet the needs of our client. Kim Ellison, the therapist, works in a respectful and collaborative manner with the client and their family.
