findSupport BC was created to make it easier for individuals and families across British Columbia to discover disability supports, community services, and resources in one place.
With more than 2,200 governmental and non-governmental resources, findSupport BC is designed to make it easier to search for support in plain language and reduce barriers to information.
Visitors can search and filter by age, disability, region, city, and resource type. Registered users can save resources, while professional and organization accounts include additional tools for organizing, sharing, and maintaining information.
No diagnosis is needed to begin searching. Some resources may be available before or without a formal diagnosis, although eligibility requirements are determined by each individual program or service provider.

Finding support can feel overwhelming, especially when information is spread across many systems. findSupport BC organizes listings in plain language and provides flexible filters so people can begin with the information that matters most to them.
Automatic on-page translation is available for convenience. Translated wording may not always be complete or exact, so important details should be confirmed directly with the organization providing the program or service.
The platform continues to evolve through feedback, collaboration, accessibility improvements, and the ongoing work of organizations and community members across British Columbia.
Our history
From changing working lists to a shared provincial platform.
findSupport BC began as a response to a practical challenge. Family Support Coordinators at the Family Support Institute of BC (FSI) were keeping large amounts of constantly changing information on hand, with no single place to find current resources. Information was scattered across directories, websites, and informal sources, making available supports difficult to track.
At the same time, conversations about improving awareness of disability-specific supports were taking place across the province. FSI began developing a centralized platform in collaboration with sector partners, turning a long working list of disability supports into a searchable resource database designed to make information easier to find, save, and share.
With contributions from students, community members, service providers, sector partners, and Motiontide, findSupport BC has continued to evolve through multiple iterations. Today, the website reflects years of collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to improving access to disability-related resource information across British Columbia.
