Vancouver School District Low Incidence Programs
Supportive programs for elementary and secondary students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities and/or Autism.

Autism Resource Centre (ARC)
The Autism Resource Centre (ARC) is a Secondary program to support students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder who are working towards a Dogwood Certificate. The focus of the program is to support students with social thinking curriculum and executive functioning.

Communication Regulation (CORE)
The CORE program provides a small supportive setting for students with significant communication and self-regulation challenges.

Elementary Life Skills
The Elementary Life Skills Program is a small supportive class for students with significant intellectual disabilities and medical/personal needs. Each student has an Individual Education Plan (IEP) and works towards their own individual goals.

Learning Assistance/Life Skills (LA/LS)
The Secondary Learning Assistance/Life Skills (LA/LS) Programs are designed for students with Mild to Moderate Intellectual Disabilities. All aspects of the curriculum are modified. The students earn an Evergreen certificate upon school leaving.

Life Skills (LS)
The Secondary Life Skills Programs are small supportive classes for students with Autism, Physical Disabilities, Deaf/Blind, Chronic Health and who have a Moderate to Severe /Profound Intellectual Disability. Students in this program earn an Evergreen certificate upon school leaving.

Post-Secondary Transition Programs
The Transition Team offers 3 programs for students in their final year of high school. All programs are designed for students with the following ministry designations: A-G and K, and 19 years or under during the school year.

Senior Life Skills
This Secondary additional year program is designed to support students currently in a regular Life Skills program who need increased emphasis on preparation for the post-secondary adult world in their senior year.
