Responsive Feeding Therapy (RFT)
Responsive Feeding Therapy (RFT) is an overarching approach to feeding and eating interventions applicable across the lifespan.
Our sister company, The Responsive Feeding Centre of BC offers a 12-18 week comprehensive program that provides families and their children and teens with the skills and techniques necessary to love eating and to become safer, more comfortable, and confident in advancing their child’s feeding and eating habits.
Children who experience the following potential feeding concerns

Picky Eaters
Highly anxious eaters of all ages
ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder)
Difficulty with acceptance of puree
Pediatric Feeding Disorder
Difficulty with transition to solids
Discoordination/ coordination difficulties
Negative emotions reactions to mealtimes (tantrums, throwing, hitting
Food allergies
Repairing the relationship with eating following choking incidents, etc.
Limited repertoire of safe foods they will eat
Challenges surrounding oral management of food (moving food in their mouth)
Developmental experiences that make eating challenging
Fear and refusal around exposure to and trying new foods
Sensory processing vulnerabilities causing sensitivity to the textures, smells, and flavours of foods
Difficulty with chewing (swallowing whole or spitting out bites after trying to chew)
Social pressure and anxiety
Specific medical conditions
