Programs and Services
The Willows Church & Family Life Centre is an active ministry of The Salvation Army. We seek to be an inclusive space in our community where people can come together in mutually supportive ways. Our focus is to offer hope wherever there is hardship, meet human needs without discrimination, building communities that are just and know the love of Jesus.
Through the Family Life Centre, we are investing in the development of children, youth and families in ways that can help break the cycle of poverty including anger management, a toy lending library, Willowbuds Parent-Tot group, the PEACE program support for families who have left violence, low-cost enriching summer camps and youth groups. Our Pathway of Hope program offers intensive case management to families looking to make significant changes in their life towards their goals of sufficiency, whether that is improved housing, food security, further education, new employment options and better opportunities for their children. Our Life Skills Classes include: Budgeting course (CAP Money), Triple P Positive Parenting, Rent Smart, Wellness Seminars and Restorative Yoga.
Our Youth Outreach programs provide engaging interactions with vulnerable or at-risk youth inside or outside of school settings, including our BRAVE empowerment event and BRAVE mentoring circles for female-identifying teens.
