Elder Law Clinic
We offer pro bono legal advice to eligible older adults (55+) residing in BC through our Elder Law Clinic on a wide range of legal matters, including:

Preparing Advance Planning documents, such as wills, powers of attorney, and representation agreements.
Explaining legal proceedings and what to expect in court.
Reviewing court documents.
Preparing cases and submissions.
Representation at certain court hearings.
Assistance in matters of adult guardianship.
General legal advice.
While we do not offer legal services in either family or criminal law, we can direct persons to organizations who may be able to assist.

Eligibility
Pro bono service to British Columbia residents over 55 years of age who meet eligibility criteria which will include income, assets and the nature of the services sought.

Age: 55+
Gross income: $40,000 + $10,000 per additional household member (e.g. $50,000 for 2, $60,000 for 3, and $70,000 for 4)
Asset test and eligibility for representation and drafting services will be discussed during the intake process.
Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.
