Housing
Lookout Housing and Health Society was founded in 1971 to meet the needs of a growing number of homeless adults in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside (DTES). Through innovative foresight and determination, Lookout extended its services to include shelters, supportive housing, independent housing, outreach, health services and resource centres. Today, Lookout operates 42 facilities and four extreme weather shelters. Lookout serves thousands individuals annually through its 90 programs in 14 municipalities across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and Vancouver Island.

Transitional Housing:
Lookout's Tenant Support Workers (TSWs) provide a multi-faceted service that includes ongoing support and advocacy on behalf of the tenant with the goal to maximize positive outcomes. Tenants in transitional housing require additional supports before moving towards independent housing.

Permanent Supportive Housing:
Permanent supportive housing provides long-term housing for people who require assistance in maintaining their housing. Lookout's Tenant Support Workers (TSWs) provide a multi-faceted service that includes ongoing support and advocacy on behalf of the tenant with the goal to maximize positive outcomes. TSWs work each tenant to develop case plans that address tenant needs

Belcourt Residence: Mixed Income Affordable Housing
Lookout Society's mixed-income affordable housing resource, Belcourt Residence opened in early July 2018 and is located at 947 East Hastings Street in the vibrant Vancouver community of Strathcona. Belcourt Residence is part of a newly-built 400 unit affordable housing resource delivered through the City of Vancouver's Housing Strategy. 70 of these mixed-income housing units
