Review and Monitoring of Private Committees
When someone other than the Public Guardian and Trustee (PGT) is appointed to manage the financial, business, legal affairs, and/or personal and health care decisions of someone else, it's called forming a Private Committee. The PGT helps these Private Committees understand their roles, reviews their accounts on a regular basis, and undertakes investigations upon any concerns that get reported.
Reporting to the PGT is a statutory requirement for all Private Committees of Estate.
