Right Fit Project
The Right Fit Project (RFP) is an effort to address challenges in matching affordable, wheelchair-accessible homes in Metro Vancouver with people who need them. Originally launched as a three (3) year project partnership project between the Individualized Funding Resource Centre (IFRC) Society and the Disability Alliance BC, the project was aimed at addressing the systemic barriers and test streamlined models to connect wheelchair users with accessible, affordable housing that meets their needs. The Right Fit Project (RFP) has left its pilot phase and continues to support systemic change and innovation through a collaborative, ground-up approach.
The Right Fit Project is led by Disability Alliance BC in partnership with the Individualized Funding Resource Centre Society, BC Housing, City of Vancouver, Fraser Health Authority, Vancouver Coastal Health Authority and Ministry of Social Development & Social Innovation. The project is generously funded by the City of Vancouver and Vancity's Reaching Home Program.
