At Home Program Guide
This guide provides detailed information on all aspects of the At Home Program and is intended to assist both parents and health care professionals with understanding how the program works. The At Home Program (AHP) is intended to assist parents or guardians with some of the extraordinary costs of caring for a child with severe disabilities at home. It provides assistance in two main areas: Respite Benefits and Medical Benefits. A child may be eligible for both Respite Benefits and Medical Benefits, or a choice of one benefit.

Age
0-18
Eligibility
To be eligible for the At Home Program, a child must be:

-0-17 years of age. Please note Medical Benefits will provide benefits up until the last day of the month a youth turns 18 years of age
-A resident of British Columbia and enrolled with the British Columbia Medical Services Plan
-Living at home with a parent or guardian
-Assessed as dependent in at least three of the four activities of daily living (eating, dressing, toileting and washing) by an AHP assessment
