Emergency and Specialized Homes

About this resource

Milieu provides staffed residential services (both group home living and single bed homes) which are designed to meet the needs of each youth.

The single-bed homes provide a highly structured, resource providing intensive residential support to a child and/or youth with a complex needs.

The group home living specialized treatment resources provide specialized care in a 5-bed licensed residence.

The emergency homes provide an opportunity to "interrupt" a youth's street life activity and to assess the youth's immediate needs or intentions. Youth are usually well known to the child welfare system and street level services.
