Life Skills and Community Access

About this resource

The Life Skills and Community Access Program helps people with developmental disabilities to become more independent through one-on-one support and group activities that help people strengthen daily living skills (taking the bus, cooking, doing laundry and staying safe, for example), access community resources like banks and shops, make friends and practice communication and social skills.
