Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Key Worker

About this resource

The Key Worker program provides support to families of children and youth under age 19 with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and similar neurodevelopmental conditions.

- Work one-on -one with the family and child; as well as liaise with schools, and other supports within the community.
- Work with families to address challenges, access resources, teach skills and ensure families have an ongoing network of support and support in identifying ways to adapt the child's environment in response to the child's needs.
- Assist families and community service providers in understanding FASD by providing education and information specific to the needs of the child and family.
- Are familiar with community resources, assist families in accessing support, health and education services and are involved in the development of local support services.
