CDBC Assessment and Support Services
CDBC Assessment and Support Services program is delivered in the communities of Prince George, Quesnel and Dawson Creek. This program provides supports to families with children and youth from birth to 19 years old. The program is designed to support children, youth and their families as they progress through the CDBC/FASD assessment process with the Northern Health Assessment Network (NHAN).

NHAN coordinates the intakes and provides assessment and diagnosis for children and youth living in the Northern Health Region who are experiencing Complex Developmental and Behavioral Conditions. Some examples of these conditions include Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and Developmental Disorders.

The CDBC/Key Worker Support Services program provides on-going support to families who are navigating the assessment process to obtain the correct diagnosis for their child. Services include improving parenting and family supports and strengthening community supports through educational opportunities and collaboration. Support will be provided to families to implement recommendations, link to community resources, and provide with support and guidance. The Key Workers provide education and information to assist communities to build capacity to support families who have children with CDBC.
