Behaviour Consultation for School Aged Children and Youth
About this resource
This service is offered to families with school-aged children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other intellectual disabilities. Our consultants use a family-centered approach and a systematic application of principles of behaviour to develop a Positive Behaviour Support Plan to teach new skills and address problem behaviours in a variety of settings. There are two ways to access this service:
Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) – we have an annual contract to provide behaviour consultation services. Families are referred to us by their respective social workers and the service is offered to the family free of charge.
Fee for service contracts – families can access behaviour consultation using their private or autism funds.
