Youth Connections Program
With a focus on adventure, excitement, friendship, and fun, Youth Connections is living proof that some of life’s greatest lessons are taught in a recreational setting.

Youth Connections allows participants to expand their independence skills and improve overall quality of life through therapeutic recreation. Recreational opportunities provide participants the opportunity to build peer relations, reducing feelings of isolation and loneliness.

Recreational activities and outings with the supervision and mentorship of Recreation Counselors help participants to develop new skills through hands-on learning. This might include understanding the transit system so that they may enjoy a weekend outing with friends; developing relationships with local businesses and community services; or identifying skills and interests which may lead to volunteerism or part-time employment.
