Family Preservation and Support Program
Support workers assist clients to develop skills related to personal care, nutrition, household management, money management, and communication/interpersonal skills.
Workers seek to empower individuals by providing them with the skills they need to effect change in their own personal growth with regards to employment, education, health, mental well-being and overall personal growth.
Workers can also provide support and assistance to clients to develop natural supports in their community such as arranging for clients to be transported to programs/services, assisting clients to attend appointments, and implementing programs. This support is given during appointments that are pre-arranged and made in advance.
Referrals for the Family Preservation Program are received from the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
