Repayment Assistance Plan for Borrowers with a Permanent Disability
The Repayment Assistance Plan for Borrowers with a Permanent Disability (RAP-PD) is available to borrowers with permanent disabilities having difficulty paying back their student loans. The Plan makes it easier to manage your provincial student loan and Canada Student Loan debt by allowing you to pay back only what you can reasonably afford.

Acquired Brain Injury, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Behaviour Disorders and Conditions (ie. ADHD), Blind / Visual Impairment, Cerebral Palsy, Deaf / Hard of Hearing, Deaf-Blind, Down Syndrome , Dual Diagnosis, Epilepsy / Seizure Disorder, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome / Spectrum Disorders , Intellectual / Developmental Disability, Learning Disorder / Disability, Neuromuscular Disorders, Paraplegia / Quadriplegia, Physical Disability / Mobility Impairment, Schizophrenia , Speech Impairment / Social / Communication Disorders, Spina Bifida
Age
17-70
Eligibility
You may qualify for repayment assistance if:
you reside in Canada (or are on an international internship or are a reservist deployed abroad)
at least six months have passed since you graduated or left school (your loans are in repayment)
you are up-to-date on your loan payments
If you have a permanent disability, you may qualify for RAP-PD if:

your permanent disability has been assessed and recognized by the Canada Student Loans Program; and
you are eligible for the Repayment Assistance Plan.
