Physiotherapy
The primary goal of physiotherapy is to assess and help to improve a child's development of movement and posture.

Physiotherapists work with clients and their families using an evidence-based approach. The primary goal of physiotherapy is to assess and help to improve a child's development of movement and posture. Together with the child and the child's family or caregivers, and other service providers, the physiotherapist will assess each child in order to determine goals and strategies that address the child's needs and abilities.

Our physiotherapists' education training and clinical experience provides expertise in the following areas:

Gross motor development of infant and child - large movements such as rolling, jumping, climbing stairs
Orthopaedics - muscle or joint problems
Neurology
Use positioning techniques and equipment to improve or maintain joint, bone and muscle health
Orthotics and specialized equipment
Children with the following diagnoses or conditions are most commonly seen:

Developmental delay
High risk infants
Orthopaedic abnormalities
Cerebral Palsy and other neurological conditions
Muscular Dystrophy
Plagiocephaly
Torticollis
Brachial plexus injury
Various syndromes including Down Syndrome
Pre and post surgical needs
