Infant Development Program (Nanaimo)
The Infant Development Program is a home-based program designed to assist families and caregivers in promoting their child's development. An Infant Development Consultant will come and work with you and your child on a regular basis.Together, you will plan activities that best meet both your child's and your family's needs. The Infant Development Program also offers families a lending library of toys and books about child development.

Infant development usually refers to 5 main areas of development: gross motor (large body movements such as walking), fine motor (small body movements such as using your hands), speech and language, cognitive (ability to learn and decipher information), and social-emotional development.

A child's development can depend in part on their early life experiences. You are your child's first and most important teacher!
