Infant Development Program (Fort St. John)
The early years are a key time for a child's growth and development; they are foundational for the skills that he/she will acquire in the future. Our Infant Development Program is here to provide early intervention services to help maximize a child's development. Serving families with children birth to 3 years of age our consultants work with the families to plan goals and activities that will help the child learn and grow. They can provide activity suggestions, special toys, books and equipment to help stimulate a child's development. Services are usually provided in a combination of home visits, centre visits, assessments, screenings, and resources.

Eligibility
Any child who is between the ages of birth to 3 years of age with whom there are concerns regarding their development in the areas of language, social skills, general motor development, and/or cognitive development.
Referrals: Parents/guardians can make a referral directly to our program, as well as doctors, nurses, social workers, and others who have concerns. Referrals should be made only with the parent/guardian knowledge and consent.
